Senate Bill SF 207
Senate Bill SF 207 in the state of Iowa is effectively dead for the 2005 legislative session. This bill was promoted as an Assault Weapons Ban bill, but was particularly germane to the fifty caliber community because one of the provisions of the bill included any firearm with a "Threaded Barrel". All 50 BMG rifles are threaded on the forend for the attachment of the needed muzzle brake. FCI has been following the bill and will continue to monitor it, but at this time the bill is not a threat.
