The anti-gun Violence Policy Center is dishonestly branding the .50 caliber as a “terrorist” weapons, because it’s a hair’s breadth larger that other rifles. But their language reveals their true strategy: to ultimately ban all rifles as being “sniper rifles,” no matter the size. [More.]

Picking and choosing which guns are acceptable under the Second Amendment is roughly as stupid as picking and choosing which books the First Amendment gives us the right to read. If we want to say that the Second Amendment is there to guarantee hunters the right to deer rifles, but not to so called "evil, scary assault rifles" because they're "dangerous to society," then we're setting an ominous precedent.
